When you start working from home it can be a little tricky to get your bearings and make sure you’re headed in the right direction. This can be especially if you’re in Network Marketing because there are so many ways to make a profitable business in this industry.
So here are some simple steps for beginners in Network Marketing that have helped many people successfully get started in Network Marketing. These tips for beginners will help you to work smarter, not harder. d
1. Know What to Expect
Network Marketing is hard work and takes time and dedication to build and grow. So many people jump into this business expecting to make a quick buck and miraculously maintain that over the long haul with little to no personal time investment
Some people do make money overnight but usually these are people that have been in the industry a while and have a lot of relationships already. If you are new to Network Marketing then you cannot expect that overnight. You may make some quick cash in the beginning but the big bucks come with consistent effort, compounded over time.
Your success or failure has a lot of variables. Those variables include your past experiences, your connections, what you already know or don’t know about running a business, just to name a few.
So if you don’t become ‘Double Unicorn Magic Rainbow Diamond’ (or whatever rank you want) overnight, don’t give up! So many people give up right before they are going to break through to success. Lots of people join a company, talk with a handful of people and then quit. That’s about as crazy as joining a gym, then working out a couple of times and quitting because you don’t see the results you want.
2. Fire Your Upline
Take full ownership of your success or failure. This is YOUR business and YOU are responsible for if you succeed.
Many times in Network Marketing, especially for beginner’s, it’s easy to say we couldn’t succeed because of our upline. The truth is that no matter who you are, beginner or seasoned pro, YOU are the one in charge.
So make the decision right now to fire your upline. This is a great tip from Eric Worre, author of Go Pro: 7 Steps to Becoming a Network Marketing Professional. This book is on our Top 5 List of Network Marketing Must Read Books.
Eric Worre started teaching this concept at least two decades ago. He says it best “The moment you blame somebody else and complain, you take yourself out of the ability to be happy, productive, useful, or purposeful. As soon as you take responsibility,… you become a member of a rare group of people who are actually making change happen… “
3. Stay in Your Own Lane
Don’t compare your success to the success of others. This is one sure-fire way to lose traction in your business and drive yourself freakin batty. Don’t do it! Just don’t do it.
It’s like driving a car. If you were to constantly watch the other drivers in the other lanes and do exactly what they are doing when they are doing it, you would probably wreck your car.
Stay in your own lane and enjoy your own journey!
4. Make Time to Work at Home
The biggest complaint I hear in #NetworkMarketing is “I don’t have time” which is so not true. I mean, here’s the deal… we have time for what we value.
If you really want to start a business in Network Marketing and have success then you will find time for it. That means no more trolling Facebook!! No scrolling endlessly on your company website!! You don’t need to know every single little detail about your company & your company products!!
Stop stalling!!!! If you know where to find answers & can lead people to the basic resources to find answers you have everything you need to begin!!
Stop playing games on your phone when you can be making money!
Limit your tv time so you have more time to make money!!
Spend your time on MONEY MAKING activities like those on this list!!
- Reconnecting with old friends
- Introduce people to your products or company
- Help team members
- Help your customers
- Connect with your upline
- Be on company trainings
Do these 6 things consistently daily you will find success faster! If you can’t find and make the time, you don’t want it badly enough. If you can’t FOCUS, you don’t want it badly enough!
I started my first Network Marketing business with a 25-month old and a newborn and started generating significant full-time income working part-time within 6-months. How badly do you want this?
5. Get Organized
There’s an old saying ‘run the day or the day runs you.’ In other words, you have to get organized!!
The best way to get organized is to write your to-do list the night before. Know what you will accomplish for your day.
Use these Network Marketing tips for beginners so that you can start out ahead in your business with the right mindset and not get distracted on your journey to success.
